The Lunsky Bay Nature Monument is a unique natural area on the eastern coast of Sakhalin, where rare bird species listed in the Red Book and valuable ecosystems of the Sea of Okhotsk are protected. We encourage every visitor to the nature reserve to take care of nature and follow the rules to help preserve the unique ecosystem of Lunsky Bay for future generations.
CONGRATULATIONS, NOW YOU'RE DEFINITELY READY TO TRAVEL!
Don't leave rubbish behind. A natural monument must remain clean. Take all waste with you.
Do not feed wild animals and birds. This disturbs their natural instincts and can lead to changes in their behaviour. From 1 June to 30 August, do not disturb birds on the islands in the northern part of the bay.
Commercial fishing and any type of hunting are prohibited. However, sport fishing is allowed.
Keep quiet. Loud noises may frighten rare birds and disturb their natural behaviour.
Do not stray off marked routes. Travelling outside the authorised areas can disturb the ecosystem and destroy bird nesting sites.
Visit by permit only. To visit a natural monument you need a special permit. With our guides you will definitely be able to visit these unique places!
